Neutral is our favorite color. Which neutral? Any neutral because it goes with everything and you’ll never tire of it. For some inspiration and to show you how versatile neutrals can be, we’ve compiled a few of our favorite monochrome kitchens that we hope will inspire you to create something - be it beautiful or delicious!
NANTUCKET RESIDENCE by Jacobsen Architecture LLC
This kitchen by Jacobsen Architecture LLC effortlessly blends natural materials with modern design elements. The rich natural walnut flooring adds just the right amount of warmth against the white lacquered kitchen cabinetry. We love how the low-profile dining table and farmhouse style benches open up the kitchen to unite it with the living room and create a greater sense of space.
MANHATTAN HIGHRISE by Michael S. Smith
The continuity of texture and finish across the cabinetry makes this narrow NYC kitchen feel more open and roomy. Michael S. Smith incorporates sleek light fixtures that add even more height to the high ceilings and draw your eye upwards. The continuity of color and the detailed gray panels on the ceilings add a layer of warmth and sophistication to the space.
PALM BEACH HOME by Kelly Klein
Kelly Klein does a wonderful job creating a modern minimalist kitchen with a grand, luxurious feel. The juxtaposition of the natural wood ceiling and stools against the refined calacatta marble adds detail and texture to an otherwise simple room. This is one of our favorite monochrome kitchens that inspire because of the waterfall countertops and beautiful flower arrangement, which adds height and balance to the room.
METROPOLITAN PENTHOUSE by Piet Boone
This wide, pass-through design opens up the penthouse apartment to create a continuity throughout the space. Piet Boone maximizes kitchen storage by using subtle modern cabinetry along both walls. The neutral color palette is not subdued because light from the floor to ceiling windows illuminates the space, creating a relaxing, airy feel to the apartment.
SOUTH COAST VILLA by Piet Boone
This South Coast Villa incorporates a variety of earthy tones to create a casual yet sophisticated space. The use of oversized chairs are inviting and give the kitchen a relaxed vibe. We love the high open display of various vases, bowls and collectibles because it adds a worldly yet personal touch to the refined kitchen.
